About Us

What We Do

The Oregon Crime Victims Law Center (OCVLC) is devoted to ensuring that crime victims are treated as integral parts of the criminal justice system which, to a large extent, would not exist if there were no victims. We do this by offering no-cost direct legal representation and advocacy services to crime victims, educating the public about crime victims' rights and conducting trainings on such rights to other persons and organizations working with crime victims.

Our History

In 2009, OCVLC was created to help ensure that the rights afforded to victims under Oregon's Constitution and statutes truly have meaning.
Since then, OCVLC has proved to be a valuable advocate for victims' rights, successfully serving hundreds of crime victims throughout Oregon.

OCVLC's governing board is chaired by former Oregon Attorney General Hardy Myers. Other board members include prominent activists in the area of victims’ rights.
