No-Cost Legal Representation OCVLC provides crime victims with no-cost direct legal services to assert their rights in criminal cases. Who is eligible? The victim, or a survivor of a victim, who is involved with a criminal or juvenile case that has some aspect of it currently pending in any state, tribal or federal court in Oregon or before the State of Oregon. Victim Advocacy & Social-Service Referrals OCVLC also offers crime victims with assistance in accessing social-support services, including services they may need to effectively participate in the case against their offenders and/or to help with their recovery. There are no eligibility requirements to receive advocacy services. Victim support services are provided through OCVLC's Victim Services staff. Victim Services staff are able to meet with victims in our downtown Portland office, or in other locations in the metro area. Victims residing outside of the Portland Metro area are typically conferred with over the phone. Our in-office services include intake interviews, assessment of social services and referrals, preparation for court proceedings. If a victim desires, we may be able to provide court accompaniment.
